![]() Seats and mirrors are saved to the key and position number key on the door when set up to do so (see the manual for how). Kinda makes sense, especially when using valet or taking it to the dealership. I don't see anything in the manual about the keys unlocking a profile, so maybe it is solely tied to the phones now (Trusted Device). I feel like I just rolled backwards about 20yrs in technology with this new truck.Ĭan you humor me, and try taking your second key out to your truck setting a profile up in the infotainment system and seeing if when you walk up with your different keys if your truck will load the different profiles automatically? If yours works, I'm doing something wrong or have an issue with my infotainment system / phone / keys. So still stuck with a truck that every time my wife and I get in the vehicle We have to manually load our profile on the infotainment system in order for our cell phones to connect and work. That's what I thought too, just like my Acadia Denali. He told me he believes when I get in with my key it should recognize my settings with the seat and load my profile into the stereo. He said it's possible this new Google head unit is different from previous vehicles. Keys are only associated to user settings 1 and 2 on the driver's door for seat, mirror, steering wheel settings. Therefore the keys are not associated to profiles in the infotainment system that I can tell OR my truck has issues. When adding the second profile in my truck and only having the second key in the truck, it will not ask at any point about associating that key to that profile. They said that as far as they know, when I set up the original profile it should have associated itself to one of the keys.Īnd when adding a second profile tho the stereo, the second key should be able to be associated with that profile. I went to the dealership today and had their head techie guy look at my truck. I called OnStar and they said there is nothin they can do □ I have to select the individual profiles when you get in every time on the head unit. With my Acadia Denali if I walk up with key two and go and start the car it will load the profile associated with that key automatically. I have also found that my key 1 and 2 are not associated with profiles on the truck. Being Thanksgiving and all maybe I can escape my family for a few minutes :-) I wonder if this will fix my problem? I haven't gone out to check yet as it's sure appreciate your help and I'm going to try it and see if this works later tonight. So I did a search and found out that there's a way to add with my phone (Samsung S22 ultra) the GMC infotainment unit as a trusted device on my phone too, through the settings menu. ![]() It's also setup on the my GMC app on my phone, but never says connected.I have never seen my phone show an alert/pop-up messages/notification of any kind saying it's connected. Trusted device is setup on the head unit as you said to do it. ![]()
